Shipley Town Council wants to support community led actions and local initiatives to address the climate crisis and improve our green spaces and outdoor leisure opportunities. Applications for projects local people and organisations would like to run are invited.
The Shipley ‘Green Grants’ scheme is back for its third year making £7,400. Applications for projects can be for any amount up to £2,000 and should address elements of the Council’s Climate Action Plan under four main areas of: Housing, Transport, Education and Nature.
The Shipley ‘Parks & Recreation Grants’ scheme is in its second year making £3000 available. Applications for ideas that enhance the provision and enjoyment of Shipley parks, green spaces and outdoor recreational pursuits can be for up to £1000. Shipley residents and/or biodiversity should benefit from the project.
Groups and organisations comprising young people are particularly welcome to apply and those who haven’t come forward before. There’s a simple application form to complete and return by 1 March 2026. You do not need to ask for the maximum amounts – smaller amounts can work wonders.
