Statement from Councillor Mike Connors, Chair of Shipley Town Council:
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Councillor David Servant, who passed away on Friday 11 April following a short illness. David had a long record of public service in the Bradford di

Previously, David had served as a Bradford district councillor for Clayton Ward (later Clayton & Fairweather Green). Alongside his role as a councillor, David was Vice Chair of Governors at Frizinghall Primary School, having served on the governing body of the school (and previously Frizinghall First School) for thirty years. In addition, he served as a trustee of the Salt Foundation, which owns Victoria Hall. David was a longstanding member of the local Conservative Party and was also a keen supporter of Bradford City FC.
David will be greatly missed by his friends and colleagues. Details of funeral arrangements will be advised as soon as they have been confirmed. Tributes and memories may be left, by appointment, with the Town Council office.
